WHAT TYPE OF WORK GLOVES ARE MOST SUITABLE FOR THE MECHANICAL SECTOR?

In the mechanical sector, the ideal glove depends on the specific task. However, in general, gloves are required that offer a combination of durability, grip, chemical protection and tactile sensitivity.

Disposable nitrile gloves – or even better, reusable ones – offer excellent chemical resistance to oils, greases, and fuels commonly used in workshops, and can be used for tasks requiring both sensitivity and liquid protection. Nitrile-coated gloves (on a textile liner) provide excellent grip on both dry and oily surfaces, along with good mechanical resistance to abrasion.

Supported gloves, coated in Nitrile or Polyurethane and made with high-performance cut-resistant fibers (such as HPPE: high-performance polyethylene), provide protection against cuts and abrasions, which is crucial when handling sheet metal, sharp edges, or metallic components. The Nitrile or Polyurethane coating enhances grip and protects against dirt and external contaminants.
