No, not automatically. The waterproof properties of the material alone are not sufficient to determine its suitability for food contact. In the Reflexx disposable clothing range, for example, LDPE disposable aprons may be certified for food contact, but subject to specific limitations stated in the product data sheet: tested for 2 hours at 40°C and not suitable for acidic foods. In general, we recommend always checking the product’s specific conditions of use carefully before purchasing.
